Mr. Daren has worked in the accident reconstruction field for over 25 years. He has conducted over 1,000 forensic engineering investigations. His experience includes site and vehicle inspections, 3D laser scanning, photography, video and general documentation. He has testified in many criminal and civil trials.
His analytical work includes collision analysis, computer simulation, traffic signal analysis, interpreting retrieved crash data, vehicle dynamics, rollover reconstruction and photogrammetry. He has performed visibility studies, including re-enactments.
Mr. Daren received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Alberta in Edmonton in 1987. He completed graduate-level engineering courses in Non-Topographic Photogrammetry, Dynamics of Structures and Fracture Mechanics. Mr. Daren has been licensed as a Professional Engineer in Alberta since 1991.
